The Vascular System – A Cranial Osteopathic Approach
Date: April 4, 5 & 6, 2025
Theme: The Vascular System – A Cranial Osteopathic Approach
by Teachers Team Osteopathic Studies
Prior to the course, a Basic Tools Day will be organized on April 3.
“I proclaimed then and there that all nerves depended wholly on the arterial system for their qualities, such as sensation, nutrition and motion, even though by the law of reciprocity they furnished force, nutrition and sensation to the artery itself, and further proclaimed that the brain of man was God’s rug store land had all liquids, drugs, lubricating oils, opiates, acids and anti-acids, and every quality of drugs that the w I s d o m of God thought necessary for human happiness and health”
A.T. Still Autobiography p 219
Osteopathic Studies is pleased to announce a new course focused on the vascular system. We visited Maurice several times with the Osteopathy Studies team. It is a privilege to be trained by him and to receive his knowledge and skills. His vast experience, his dedication to osteopathy and his drive to share the knowledge he has acquired make him invaluable to our educational program.
In this new course, the Osteopathic Studies team guides you through the complicated connections of the arterial and venous system, in relation to the organs, the heart and the brain. By understanding these connections, we can improve our osteopathic skills and treat more accurately and effectively.
In this course you will be supported by a team of experienced colleagues, all trained by Maurice himself, and four of whom are teachers at the various osteopathy schools. This dedicated team provides lectures and hands-on labs to each individual and assists with the other classes, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
They share with you the extensive knowledge of Maurice, who has more than 35 years of experience, and guide you in discovering or deepening his way of working.
During the course you integrate osteopathic principles with the latest scientific insights into the vascular system. Anatomy and physiology will be the guiding principles for building up the part of the vascular system that we will work on in different labs. We will investigate how we can practically apply this knowledge and improve our diagnostic and treatment skills. Short theoretical sessions are followed by hands-on labs, in which we will refine working on the vascular system.
At the end of this course, the goal is to have a deeper understanding of the vascular system and its impact on health. Our goal is to improve your perception and precision of diagnoses and treatments, so that you can more fully integrate the vascular system into your treatments, which ultimately benefits patients. ‘Dig further and discover!’ Our team of table trainers is ready to support you and share their experiences and knowledge to help you grow as an osteopath.
Join us on this exciting journey to master the vascular system and take your skills to new heights.
Osteopathic Studies is a non-profit organization and strives for low-budget organization in every course. The Osteopathic Studies team volunteers to share knowledge and skills with other colleagues.
BASIC TOOLS DAY
Datum: April 3, 2025
A Basic Tools Day is organized prior to the course. This is a preparatory day, but also a training day to practice and/or repeat the principles of working with ‘springs’, compression, globality and ‘the Mechanism’. This day is recommended in preparation for the course. Even for those who have followed the Basic Tools Day before, it remains a useful practice day to improve their skills.
Date | April 3, 2025 | |
Basic Tools Day | 8am-5pm | Registration, reception coffee/tea Including lunch, coffee/tea/water. |
Basic Tools Day costs: 95 euros.
No organization or teaching costs will be charged for the Basic Tools Day.
You can register for this interesting day on the registration form. No organization or teaching costs will be charged for this day. An amount is only charged for lunch/coffee/tea and room rental. Registration for this day is only possible in combination with the course ‘The Vascular System – A Cranial Approach.’
‘The Vascular System – A Cranial Osteopathic Approach’
April 4, 5, 6, 2025 (2.5 days)
Quotes:
“The artery is the river of life, health, and ease, and if muddy or impure disease follows.”
A. T. Still MD DO Autobiography
“A natural flow of blood is health; and disease is the effect of local or general disturbance of blood – that to excite the nerves causes muscles to contract and compress venous flow of blood to the hearth ; and the bones could be used as levers to relieve pressure on nerves, veins, and arteries.
A.T. Still Autobiography
With the 2.5 day very practical course “The Vascular System – A Cranial Osteopathic Approach” the Osteopathic Studies team takes you on a journey through the vascular system.
Starting from the veins and arteries themselves, we will use practical sessions to experience how we can diagnose and treat a lesion or inflammation. We will also pay attention to safety, where we will “work” with the heart, the viscera and the brain.
Maurice continues to reiterate that anatomy, physiology, structure, function are an important basis for diagnosis and treatment. In addition to this basic knowledge, visualization will also be used. We will combine and apply all of this through practical labs where we learn how to effectively use these different techniques to influence function during treatment.
In the course we go over the veins and arteries, the aorta, and various branches to and from costae, diaphragm, and viscerae as well as the vascular system to and from the brain.
We will use different techniques to help you find a lesion, obstruction and/or inflammation and show and feel that everything is connected.
